(Evolution) and it is a collaborative program between myself\, Lisa Pegher as percussion soloist\, my portrayed alter ego character Magenta-Z\, the composers of the ICEBERG New Music Collective and visual multimedia artist\, Kat Zhang (aka The Poet Engineer). The program invites listeners to search for connections between music and technology as well as humans and machines through the performance of percussion\, electronics\, live processing and generative AI. Over the course of the show\, Lisa leads the audience through 11 new works that slowly evolve and intertwine the incorporation of technology\, machine learning\, artificial intelligence and its ability to influence\, control\, and eventually form a symbiotic relationship with the performer.

The event will start with a vocal performance by Indian Classical vocalist\, Monica Joshi. She will be accompanied by Shailesh Chirputkar and Chinmay Paranjpe. Ibha Kumar\, a senior executive in the financial services industry will speak about women’s empowerment. Hashim Abdullah\, Ambassador to the Public at the United Nations’ Department of Global Communications will talk about the UN’s sustainable development goals and how we can get involved. SUMMARY:Chu-Fang Huang in Recital
DESCRIPTION:Chinese-American pianist Chu-Fang Huang is the recipient of the 2011 Avery Fisher Career Grant\, a finalist in the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition\, and First Prize winner at the Cleveland International Piano Competition. At the latter\, she was also the first Chinese winner\, and winner of “Best Performance of Beethoven’s Work\,” “Best Performance of Chopin’s Work\,” and the “Audience Favorite Award.” She paused her performance career to found the Ameri-China International Piano Association a decade ago\, dedicating herself to discovery and cultivation of the young generation’s pianists. Tonight we will see her first comeback recital\, featuring the works by Beethoven and Chopin that won her such acclaim.

The world premiere of Tomás Gueglio’s Soap madrigals/Murmuring river\, builds on the composer’s lyrical style with a further exploration into microtonality\, inspired by the repertoire and history of Ekmeles\, and the madrigal form. \nOther recent works by Evan Johnson and Zosha Di Castri round out the program.
