Chinese-American pianist Chu-Fang Huang is the recipient of the 2011 Avery Fisher Career Grant, a finalist in the 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and First Prize winner at the Cleveland International Piano Competition. At the latter, she was also the first Chinese winner, and winner of “Best Performance of Beethoven’s Work,” “Best Performance of Chopin’s Work,” and the “Audience Favorite Award.” She paused her performance career to found the Ameri-China International Piano Association a decade ago, dedicating herself to discovery and cultivation of the young generation’s pianists. Tonight we will see her first comeback recital, featuring the works by Beethoven and Chopin that won her such acclaim.
