A striking theater dance work charting a path from betrayal to reconciliation, performed with live music.
Based on one of William Shakespeare’s final plays, ‘The Winter’s Tale’ is a work of theater dance created by choreographer Cherylyn Lavagnino in collaboration with composer Martin Bresnick. The piece explores themes of loyalty, jealousy, forgiveness, and renewal, blending expressive gesture with Lavagnino’s distinctive movement language. This work features a powerful live score performed by an ensemble of musicians, continuing CLD’s longstanding commitment to collaboration between dance and live music.
