A Transatlantic Something is a program comprised of works by American composers Gene Pritsker and Dan Cooper, and by a duo of leading Slovak contemporary composers, Daniel Matej and Martin Burlas. It presents the current sound of contemporary music from both sides of the Atlantic. While Pritsker and Cooper are among the most prolific composers on the NYC scene today, Burlas and Matej have shaped Slovak music for the past 25 years, with their works being performed worldwide. The show’s program was put together specifically for this Composers Concordance event.
