CLD Favorites & First Drafts

Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance presents Favorites & First Drafts, an evening featuring works from the company’s repertory alongside new material in development. The program includes Facets (2008), a sculptural dance marked by precision and clarity, and RU (2014), an ensemble work known for its emotional intensity and ensemble interplay. Excerpts from The Folk Rock Studies translate classic songs from Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell, and Janis Joplin into movement studies of rhythm and tone. The evening concludes with La Mar Emocional (2025), a lyrical work inspired by the shifting presence of the sea.
