EKMELES performs ICEBERG

Ekmeles is a vocal ensemble dedicated to the performance of new and rarely-heard works, and gems of the historical avant garde. New York is home to a vibrant instrumental New Music scene, with a relative paucity of vocal music. Ekmeles was founded to fill the gap by presenting new a cappella repertoire for solo voices, and by collaborating with these instrumental ensembles. The New Yorker calls them a “brilliant young ensemble… defining a fresh and virtuosic American sound.”
On March 9, Ekmeles will perform world premieres by ICEBERG New Music member composers Victor Baez, Stephanie Ann Boyd, Derek Cooper, Max Grafe, and Jonathan Russ, alongside new music by Donna McKevitt and Amy Brandon. Like all ICEBERG events, this concert features OPEN BAR starting at 7:30. Join us for an evening of drinks, conversation, and amazing new music.
