Lost Dog performs Hersch, Ilgenfritz and Maggio

The three works on this concert are all inspired by poetry, to very different effect – Michael Hersch’s powerful septet “A Forest of Attics” in only its second-ever performance and New York premiere, is a terrifying scream; James Ilgenfritz’ brand new piece, “Transmigration of the Serpent” written for Lost Dog and receiving its world premiere, conjures the radical spirit of 70’s feminist performance art; and Robert Maggio’s lyrical “Barcarole (seven mad gods who rule the sea) paints a beautiful and melancholy evocation of the sea after a storm.
Ticket are $25. Students and Seniors receive a $5 discount.
