PIAZZOLLA100 Festival’s opening night is a unique multidisciplinary program featuring 2xLatin GRAMMY nominated Cuartetango string quartet with GRAMMY-winner Rodolfo Zanetti on bandoneon, instrumental, vocal and dance repertoire from Gardel and Le Pera to Piazzolla. This special evening concludes with “The Rites of Love,” a new string quartet composition by Leonardo Suarez-Paz, the artistic director of Nuevo Tango Arts & PIAZZOLLA100, who was mentored by the revolutionary composer Astor Piazzolla, the Argentine-born and New York raised composer. Celebrate freedom of expression with Leonardo Suarez-Paz (violin/voice/dance), Francisco Salazar (violin), Jon Weber (viola), Danny Miller (cello), Rodolfo Zanetti (bandoneon), Olga Suarez-Paz (dance/poetry).
