“Telegrams” – Season 7 Opening Concert

This program showcases TAK’s newest member, clarinetist Madison Greenstone, performing “Telegrams,” an 18-minute work for solo bass clarinet and bluetooth speakers by Michelle Lou. Lou, one of our commissioned composers this season, will be programmed alongside works by Julien Malaussena (also a 2020 commissioned composer), Natacha Diels, George Aperghis, and Jessie Marino. From the sublimely odd to the hauntingly theatrical, this collection of works highlights the members of the ensemble both as individual virtuosi and as a collective.
