On October 15, 2022, The Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, AACM, New York City Chapter, Inc. 57 Years of Artistic Dedication presents The Orchestra of the S.E.M. Ensemble, Conductor, Petr Kotik performs the music of the world renowned AACM New York City Chapter, Inc. Composers | Dr. Muhal Richard Abrams, Thurman Barker, Adegoke Steve Colson, Leonard E. Jones, George E. Lewis, Amina Claudine Myers, and Henry Threadgill with special guest 2022 NYSCA Composers Commission recipient Master Percussionist Thurman Barker. The S.E.M. Ensemble, under the direction of Petr Kotik, has been collaborating with AACM since 1995.
