Waverly Project brings together Momenta Quartet and Nefeli Mousoura for a concert that puts in dialogue the new music of Ioannis Angelakis with W.A. Mozart. Momenta Quartet will premiere the new 45-minute long string quartet of Ioannis Angelakis, “Institution Imaginaire,” which, in a deconstructive gesture, draws on Mozart’s piano concerto KV.414. The actual piano concerto of Mozart (No.12 in A major, KV.414) will also be performed by the soloist Nefeli Mousoura and Momenta Quartet, while the third work of the concert will be Ioannis Angelakis’ previous string quartet “ASC-4.1.-III13, Terror and Silence and Between Them a Flame.”
