The DiMenna Center provides state-of-the-art recording space for large and small musical ensembles. Each room is outfitted with analog and digital connectivity for multi-track recording providing the ideal studio for projects including classical, jazz, Broadway, commercials, film and television. These connections are compatible with current technology and anticipate future technological advancements. In collaboration with Audiosmith Digital Solutions, our official audio partner, The DiMenna Center can meet any of your recording needs.
At the center of the recording operations is the Control Room, located in the Virigina James Learning and Media Studio, designed by Francis Manzella. It is New York’s only Dolby Atmos mix room in New York that has been purpose-built for music recording, production, and mixing. It is equipped with state of the art features including fiber optic connectivity for streaming, remote recording, and live broadcasts. The DiMenna Center’s acoustics were designed by Akustiks, an industry leader.
Recording highlights include the feature film soundtracks for soundtrack for The Girl On The Train, The Greatest Showman, and Hail, Caesar!; Broadway Cast Albums The King and I, Hello, Dolly!, Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812; a Grammy Award-winning album by Room Full of Teeth; and the Tchaikovsky Symphony no. 1 recording on Harmonia Mundi featuring Pablo Heras-Casado and Orchestra of St. Luke’s.
